Department Mission Statement

The mission of the Susquehanna Regional Police Department is to work in partnership with the citizens of Conoy Township, East Donegal Township and Marietta Borough to enhance the quality of life in our region by raising the level of public safety through law enforcement, and reducing the fear and incidence of crime.  In striving to accomplish these goals, this service will be our duty; honor and integrity our mandate.

Department Names Officer of the Year 2009

This year the “Officer of the Year” award is presented to Officer Jeremy L. Kauffman.

Officer Kauffman has served with the Department since 2008. During his 2 years of service with the Department Officer Kauffman has made constant improvement in his abilities to perform as a patrol officer.

In 2009 Officer Kauffman has lead or was in the top 1/3 of the Department with regard to patrol activities and criminal arrests. He consistently completes his work in timely manner and is more than willing to accommodate the Department needs at a moments notice.

This year Officer Kauffman is attending the DARE school and will become a new DARE officer for the Department.

Officer Kauffman has a daughter, Analy, and resides in the Elizabethtown area.

He is without a doubt an Outstanding Police Officer with the Department.

CHIEFS OF POLICE ASSOCIATION ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POLICE OFFICERS

 The Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Association, and several of its member agencies, have entered into an agreement to conduct a cooperative testing process for the position of police officer.  The agencies participating at this time include:

Applications for the position of Police Officer may be obtained at the above mentioned locations.

Applications can be picked up from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Interested applicants must return a completed application form to West Hempfield Township PD 3401 Marietta Ave. Lancaster PA 17601, along with a non-refundable $60.00 fee payable by Check or money order to the Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Association no later than:

August 27, 2010 @ 4:00 PM

Pennsylvania establishes a Terrorism Tip Line

The Pensylvania State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation has established an e-mail address and a toll free telephone number to allow members of the public to contact the State Police Intelligence Section with information relative to Pennsylvania's Homeland Security. Residents of Pennsylvania are encouraged to use the e-mail or toll free number to report suspicious individuals or activity that may be directly or indirectly associated with terrorists or terrorist activity. In emergency situations, citizens should phone their local Police Department rather than use the terrorism tip line. Susquehanna Regional Police Department Crime Alert

 

East Donegal Township

Susquehanna Regional Police are investigating what is believe to be a daylight burglary of a residence on Ore Mine Rd. The residence was entered and electronic items such as a WII, Guitar Hero, Nintendo, Laptop computer and camcorder were taken.

Residence are reminded to make sure there homes are locked and to report suspicious activity to police immediately by calling 911.

CONOY TOWNSHIP:

Susquehanna Regional Police are investigating reports of numerous vehicles entered in the Deer Lane and Fawn Dr. area of Conoy Township. Six vehicles had been entered in this area and had items such as GPS's and other property within the vehicles taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 426-1164.
