Volunteer Needed To Fill Township Planning Commission Vacancy

The East Donegal Township Board of Supervisors is accepting letters of interest from Township residents for a position on the Township’s Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission serves as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors on matters involving subdivision and land development plans, zoning applications and various Township ordinances, such as the Township Zoning Ordinance. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for plan and application approvals and denials, ordinance changes and other actions that shape the development of the Township.

The Township Planning Commission meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. The open term for the Planning Commission expires December 31, 2017.

To be considered, a person must be a resident of East Donegal Township. The applicant must write a letter of interest and submit a current resume. The Supervisors will review and consider information from all applicants and make a selection for appointment. Any questions should be directed to Jeffrey Butler, Township Manager.
