Township Accepting Letters of Interest for Emergency Management Coordinator Position
Any Township resident interested in serving the Township as the appointed Emergency Management Coordinator is encouraged to submit a letter of interest, along with a summary of experience and qualifications, to the Township for consideration. The Township Board of Supervisors serves as the recommending entity for local Emergency Management Coordinator appointments by the Governor.
In accordance with a directive of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), the Coordinator shall be professional competent and capable of exerting leadership, planning, training and effective coordination among operating agencies of government and controlling coordinated operations by local emergency preparedness forces. PEMA also provides for specific in-service training to be undertaken by appointed Coordinators.
