Road Closure Planned – Old Colebrook Road
The contractor working on underground pipeline facilities in the Township has planned a road closure for Old Colebrook Road (between Colebrook Road and Route 441) to perform work on the pipeline that crosses the roadway. At this time, it’s estimated that the closure will go into effect on October 8th and should last for approximately 10 days. Of course, the start date and the length of time needed to complete the project are weather dependent.
The contractor will be providing a signed detour route for motorists displaced by the closure. If you travel this roadway, please plan accordingly.

Shredding Event Scheduled For September 21st
East Donegal Township is partnering with West Donegal Township and Mount Joy Township for the annual shredding event. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 8 am to 12:00 noon at the West Donegal Township municipal building located 1 Municipal Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
This event will be free of charge to all residents living in East Donegal, Mount Joy, and West Donegal Townships. Residents are allowed to bring up to four boxes or bags of paper per property to be shredded.
We are asking those who participate in this event for donations of non-perishable canned goods and boxed items (monetary donations also accepted). Glass, frozen food, expired food, fresh produce/meats or home-made food cannot be accepted.
Please be generous as these donations will be given to the local food banks in our communities.
