East Donegal Township is now part of GEARS (Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation & Community Services). This partnership allows the Township to offer GEARS recreational programs to its residents. By bringing these programs directly into the Township, residents can enjoy preferred registration rates and participate in activities at local parks and facilities. East Donegal Twp Summer Playground
Registration NOW OPEN!
Energetic and enthusiastic playground leaders will guide participants in active games, board games, sports, tournaments, arts & crafts and much more! Schedule of weekly activities will be posted. Check out this exciting program designed to fill your child’s summer with fun!
- Who: Children ages 6-14 (Children must be 6 years of age by June 16, 2025)
- What: 8 weeks of organized FUN!
- When: Mon-Fri, 9 am-12 noon, June 16-August 8 (No July 4)
- Where: Fuhrman Park (Rock Point Road)
Fee: $100/child for the entire Summer! ($110 for non-residents)
Only full-time registrations will be accepted (no drop-ins). Registration is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Note to Parents: The Summer Playground Program is designed to provide activities for children and is not a substitute for childcare. Attendance is not mandatory or enforced. Be sure to inform your child of your expectations regarding attendance. Pre-registration is required.
Donegal Pickleball Lessons
Pickleball is a combination of tennis and badminton played on a badminton sized court with lightweight paddles and plastic perforated balls (much like wiffle balls). These elements produce exciting, long rallies which consist of volleys at the net and ground strokes similar to tennis. Pickleball is a fast-paced sport that is easy on the joints and quick to learn. If you’ve never played pickleball before, come join the fun with our beginner lessons where you will learn basic techniques, rules and strategies! All equipment provided. Instructed by Pam Kaylor. Ages 14+
