Township Seeks To Fill Finance Officer Opening

TOWNSHIP FINANCE OFFICER
East Donegal Township, Lancaster County, PA seeks a full-time Finance Officer. The current Finance Officer is retiring. This position is responsible for performing accounts payable/receivable, utility and refuse billing, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial reports, monitoring cash reserves and investments, assisting with audits, and other tasks as assigned by the Township Manager. This position is also responsible for assisting with human resource functions of the township including benefits administration and maintenance of personnel documents and records. Successful candidate will have direct experience with Quickbooks financial software and Microsoft Office products. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. Experience working in municipal government finance is strongly preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with the public, employees and elected/appointed officials. In addition to the required financial skills, good communications and interpersonal skills are important for this position. Must be able to attend Township Board of Supervisor meetings on request.
