East High Street Reconstruction Project Begins
The removal of street trees along East High Street signals the start of long-awaited street improvements. These improvements will include the complete reconstruction of the roadway, the installation of curbs and stormwater inlets and piping, and the replacement of the public sidewalks. In addition, while the Township is making roadway improvements, the Sewer Authority will be replacing sewer laterals and the Water Authority will be installing a new water main and replacing individual service connections. The extensive improvements proposed to East High Street will result in motorists experiencing the inconvenience of roadway construction for a few months this spring and summer. During this project, vehicle traffic will be limited and, at times, prohibited on East High Street between the square in Maytown and the fire station of the Maytown East Donegal Township Fire Department.
