Volunteers Make a Big Impact
East Donegal Township would like to extend a sincere thank you to the eight dedicated volunteers who recently participated in a cleanup effort within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Through their hard work and commitment to protecting our environment, the group successfully removed an estimated 220 pounds of trash from the area.
Items collected included six tires, a barrel, and even a child’s lawnmower toy, along with numerous smaller pieces of litter and debris that would otherwise continue to impact our local waterways and natural habitats.
This cleanup effort is a great reminder that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference in preserving the beauty and health of our community and the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
A special thank you goes to Cathleen Mastrilli for coordinating this important project and helping to inspire volunteerism and environmental stewardship throughout the region.
