Proposed 2023 Budget Introduced For Public Review

At the regular meeting of the Township Board of Supervisors held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, the Board introduced the proposed 2023 General Fund Budget for public review. In addition budgets for the Township’s Highway Aid Fund and the Trash and Recycling Fund were presented.

The Board of Supervisors anticipate action on the proposed 2023 Budget at the December 1, 2022 meeting of the Board.

Items Being Collected To Help Florida Hurricane Victims

Florida Power & Light Showcases New Category 5-Rated Control Center During Annual Hurricane Drill - Space Coast Daily

An effort is underway to collect items needed by victims of Hurricane Ian.  Items will be collected at the East Donegal Township Building, 190 Rock Point Road today and tomorrow, during regular business hours (8:00 AM- 4:00 PM Thursday and 8:00 AM-Noon Friday).  These items will be transported to Florida this Sunday.


Deadline to drop off items is Friday, October 7th at Noon.

Items Needed Are:

    • Bottled Water
    • Feminine hygiene products
    • Blankets
    • Canned Foods (anything that does not spoil or need refrigeration)
    • Juices/Gatorade/Powerade
    • Personal Hygiene Products (i.e., deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoos, etc.)
    • Batteries
    • Tarps
    • Pet Food
    • Paper plates, Paper Cups
    • Kitty Litter
    • Trash Bags
    • Coffee, Sugar, Powdered Creamer
    • Storage Bins to Salvage Personal Belongings

Board of Supervisors Seek Residents Interested In Appointment To Vacancy Board

The East Donegal Township Board of Supervisors is accepting letters of interest from eligible Township residents who would like to be considered for appointment to an open position on the Township Vacancy Board and complete a term to expire December 31, 2022.

The Vacancy Board is a one-year position appointed by the Board of Supervisors.  The Vacancy Board consists of the Board of Supervisors and one elector of the township, who shall act as Chairman of the Vacancy Board. The purpose of this position, as set forth by the Second Class Township Code, is to decide upon a replacement Supervisor should a Supervisor position become vacant and the remaining Board members are unable to reach a decision to fill the position.

Interested Township residents who have lived in the Township for more than one year and who are registered to vote in East Donegal Township are invited to submit a letter of interest to be considered for the opening. Letters should be submitted to the East Donegal Township Board of Supervisors, 190 Rock Point Road, Marietta PA 17547 or via email to jeff@eastdonegaltwp.com . Please include with your submission your name and contact email and phone number. All letters must be received by the Board for consideration by Friday, September 30, 2022.
