September 25th Recycling Pickup Delayed One Day

Republic Services has notified the Township that the recycling pickup scheduled for today, September 25th, has been delayed one day.  Please keep your recycling material curbside for tomorrow’s pickup.

Shredding Event Scheduled For September 21st

East Donegal Township is partnering with West Donegal Township and Mount Joy Township for the annual shredding event.  This year, the event will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 8 am to 12:00 noon at the West Donegal Township municipal building located 1 Municipal Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

This event will be free of charge to all residents living in East Donegal, Mount Joy, and West Donegal Townships. Residents are allowed to bring up to four boxes or bags of paper per property to be shredded.

We are asking those who participate in this event for donations of non-perishable canned goods and boxed items (monetary donations also accepted). Glass, frozen food, expired food, fresh produce/meats or home-made food cannot be accepted.

Please be generous as these donations will be given to the local food banks in our communities.

Longwood Square Roadways To Be Fog Sealed August 19th

The Township’s contractor will be working to complete this year’s scheduled seal coating with the application of a fog seal coating on the roadways within the Longwood Square development that were recently seal coated (oil and chip).  The contractor will be returning on Monday, August 19th (weather permitting) to complete the work.  Rain dates are Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st.

These roadways are:

Quaking Aspen Lane – NO ON-STREET PARKING

Wild Cherry Lane – NO ON-STREET PARKING

Red Cedar Lane – NO ON-STREET PARKING

Pink Dogwood Lane – NO ON-STREET PARKING

Please be aware that these roads may be closed for short periods of time while the contractor is working.  However, the duration of the closure should be brief.  In addition, motorists should take care when driving on freshly fog sealed roadways.
