2024 Township Scholarship Winner Announced
The East Donegal Township Board of Supervisors recognized the 2024 Township Scholarship recipient, Marie Gehman, at the Board’s June 6th public meeting. As the scholarship winner Marie will receive $1,000.00 for use toward her college tuition. Marie is the daughter of Seth and Rosalyn Gehman. Marie will be attending Penn State pursuing a degree in biobehavioral health/kinesiology.
The Board of Supervisors have implemented the scholarship program to recognize outstanding Donegal High School graduates that are residents of the Township. The $1,000.00 award is for one year only and is for the purposes of tuition, books and fees only.
Scholarship Program applications are made available in the spring of the year at the Donegal High School and at the Township office. The winner of the scholarship award is announced at the Donegal School District’s annual Senior Awards Night.
Trash/Recycling Pickup To Start An Hour Earlier Next Week (June 18th and 19th)

Due to the heat forecasted for next week, Republic Services will be starting their route on Tuesday (June 18th) and Wednesday (June 19th) an hour earlier than usual. As usual, please place trash/recycling curbside the night prior to scheduled pickup day.

Township To Crack Seal Streets in Longwood Square Development
In preparation of the planned seal coat and fog seal scheduled for this summer, the Township Public Works crew will be working to manually crack seal significant cracks in the Longwood Square development. To allow full access to the streets planned for treatment, “No Parking” signs have been posted for alternating locations within the development for June 10th to June 12th.
Please observe the dates posted on the “No Parking” signs. Weather permitting, the work should be completed by Wednesday afternoon. We appreciate your patience during this inconvenience.
